Week #97-Candy Crush Saga

What an underrated game. I was so good at it! I let some kids get it linked up to my Facebook to see how far I got! I was in the 300s!!!! Insane!
Well we probably had what was the best week ever since Nixon was in office!! We married Ye in the half legal way which was fun because I read the whole paper thing and I said! ´´By the power vested in me.....´´ it was really intense! We took pictures. We told them that they could have a big wedding when they go to the temple and that now they just needed to stop sinnin haha! It was so good!
So he got baptized, Ma got baptized which was quite good! And En got baptized! So it was what they call a Hat Trick (or a turkey I don´t remember). Yeah!!! I had to give Ma my clothes!!! The zone leaders gave us clothes for like a 8 year old and when he tried it on it did not fit at all haha! So instead of baptizing I just gave him my clothes haha!  But it was good fun!
Ch and Ga were going to get baptized with them (which would have made it a Golden Walrus) but their dad wanted their family from the capital to come down and see the bautizo! So they´re going to get baptized this week!
I have been fasting for the last 21 months for two things!!! Go on exchanges with Elder Hastings and go on exchanges with Elder Tagg, well wouldn´t you know that I got to do both!! I couldn´t believe it! I won´t even try to explain how we ended up doing it! But it was totally authorized and good clean fun!
Well it was a good week! We had the highest attendance that I´ve had in La Maquina yesterday! 64!!! So cool! A week to remember (like A Walk to Remember but way less sad). Anyways who won the finals? I feel like I should know that and I don´t! Love you!!!!!

Week #96-I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22 (months)

THEY ARE LITERALLY PLAYING 22 IN THE INTERNET RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! What a Christmas miracle! (It's a Taylor Swift song for those of you who don't know!) I can´t believe that I hit 22 months. I am so old. I even look old in the mirror. I get a 1 o´clock shadow now and i think I am getting wrinkles. Soon I´m going to have ´´those old man boobs that droop at the ends´´ (name the show). But yeah it was a crazy week! Awesome! We have 3 sure baptisms this week! We are going to baptize Os, En and Ma! We have to get Os married to his wife on Friday. It looks like they are just going to sign a paper and that´s it. I´ll tell you about it! Pray for those people though! They can´t fall!!!   And then Saturday the mega bautismo! But yeah Ma literally disappeared  and we thought that the devil had taken him but no, he is alright! We talked to him yesterday after church (it was a miracle that he went to church) and he said that he is going to do it!
The earthquake was so scary! I thought that it was a storm and that the wind was going to rip the roof off because our house is on stilts and it´s made out of wood! So I woke up and turned the lights on and then it finished and then Heath said ´´That was a big earthquake´´ and i realized that it was an earthquake. Just some coke bottles broke. It reminded me of Freaky Friday when the old man runs around shouting ´´EARTHQUAKE! EARTHQUAKE! EARTHQUAAAAAAAKKEEEE!´´ All the members called to see if we had died. We didn´t.
But yeah it was awesome! What  good week! We had interviews with President and he was going to change me out of La Maquina but then I told him that if the Lord wanted, I would be okay staying in La Maquina for one more transfer. So he said that he would think about it which pretty much means yes. So I´m going to finish in La Maquina! Tell all my friends that are coming home from their missions that I say hi!
     Anyways that´s that! Love you!

Week #95-Naked Chicken

Has anyone seen the naked chicken chalupa thing from Tacobell. It looks pretty disgusting but I might have to try it just for kicks and giggles. Anyways that was probably the best week of my entire life! I honestly love being a missionary. There is no greater thing! Especially when you have a car! When you have a car in La Maquina it´s as if you showed up in a helicopter! Ha ha people asked us for money like 70000 times this week haha! But we saw so many miracles!
The temple was awesome! Elder Heath was really sick which is weird because last time we went Elder Martineau was way sick as well. 15 investigators came with us to the temple too! It was unbelievable! And 3 of my converts went in to do baptisms! So cool! 4 people accepted to be baptized this week! And 1 who is pretty sure he is going to do it this month but he has to get married first! So we should have 5 baptisms on the 24th! That would be great because that could be my second to last Saturday in La Maquina!
We had a good time though! We found a lot of people to teach! We found a family that attended church in Tahuexco this week who literally live under a tarp in the backyard of the group leader´s house! And they have a freaking cable that goes under the tarp to their TV so that they can have cable. It is really sad but also kind of funny. Not that funny, just kind of funny in a really tragic way. It´s just funny that they have cable but they don´t have a house. But yeah they´re cool!
Anyways the car has a crazy self lock thing. So it locks it´s self after a minute of being off. Well I wish I had known that before I left the key in the ignition for a minute to run in to the house to get some stuff for an activity. The car locked it´s self with they keys in. Well I did not want to tell the people in the office that I had locked the keys in the car because they were all pretty mad that we got the car in the first place! So Heath and I did what any desperate missionaries would do. We broke in! It was unbelievable! A brand new Toyota with a nice security system and Heath and I broke in!  Heath stuck a hanger in and hooked the keys from the ignition! Then the keys fell down onto the seat perfectly for us to press the unlock button with the hanger! It was so crazy!
So I don´t get it. Am I going home August 8th or the 9th because President told me that I´m going home on the 8th. I´m leaving on the 9th early in the morning. (He's leaving his area on the 8th-his birthday-and leaving Guatemala on the 9th)
We went to the temple this week! I was looking for Jake when we went! I can´t believe he goes home this week! It went by so fast!
     Anyways love you!

Week #94-Ridin' Dirty

Hey mom! Sorry I`m so late! We had a way busy day and a busy week and it was awesome and fun! Today honestly was crazy awesome!
So best news is that M finally accepted a baptismal date! And by finally I mean it was like the 4th time we had taught him and he accepted. I was on exchanges with Elder Zavala and we totally put the fecha (date) for this week on Friday (because we are going to the temple Saturday also we are some of the only missionaries that are allowed to go to the temple in all of central America). But worst luck of all time! He somehow did not come to church yesterday! He came to play soccer Saturday night and he was totally good for coming and he didn`t! And we haven`t been able to contact him! Really stressful but I think he`ll get baptized next Saturday the 17th! He is 18 years old so we`ll keep building the Elder`s Quorum here! So aweseome!
So Heath and I have been struggling because the area of La Maquina is literally like the second biggest area in the whole mission and it covers about 1/10 of it I would say! And we have investigators everywhere but we haven`t been able to have enough time to visit all of them because we have to wait for transport or we just walk. Well President finally gave into our pleas and gave us a car for the week to go to town!!! I honestly have never heard of a companionship that has a car in a regular proselyting area!! We got it today and I was so scared driving for the first time in like 22 months! People here are nuts and Guatemalans put speed bumps whereever the shiz they want! And the motorcycles are insane! But it`s fun! I just need to try not to kill any dogs or kids! We named our car Dory.
We moved into our new house last week and I love it! It is the best house ever! I`ll send pics.
Also today for P Day we went to this lake called Atitlan which is said to be the famous Waters of Mormon! It was fun I took a ton of pictures!
Anyways love you write me back! Also pray for M so that he can freaking get baptized next week!
